The thicker the resistance band loop, the most assistance it gives for pull ups, chins ups, bar muscle ups and ring dips. As your skills improve, you can go to less and less resistance.
If used for power lifting, the lighter bands are perfect for triceps and biceps exercises, while the thicker bands are helpful for squats, dead lifts and lower body exercises.
